| Very rare (first I have had in at least 2 years) January (Hatsu) Basho Banzuke of 1985. Besides being printed for the first basho held in the then new Ryogoku Kokugikan, it is also the last time Kitanoumi, the current Rijicho, appears on a banzuke as a yokozuna. Probably the 3rd greatest yokozuna to date in terms of records accomplished, his departure made way in later years for Oonokuni - seen in the east sekiwake slot. Current dai-yokzuna, Asashoryu's stable master Asashio is seen as west ozeki and Hawaiian Konishiki is seen at M1w.Contact MB if interested in obtaining a copy. |
